Berthing AID System
Berthing AID System/Laser Docking System is designed to measure the distance and speed of the ship's bow and stern section from the berth fenders during the final sideways berthing phase. In the final berthing phase of a large tanker the ship is brought up to the berth within a range of max. 200 metres from the berthing line. The ship is then moved alongside, tug assisted, and parallel to the berthing line. The distance of bow and stern section from the fenders will be measured by the laser system using laser units installed on the proper position of a berth. The speed of approach and the angle of the ship to the berthing line will be derived from the distance measurements. The speed, the speed limits, the distance and angle information will be presented on hand carried display carried by the pilot as well as other assisting personnel.

Laser Sensor
Laser sensor is an essential component of a Berthing Aid System. It is used to measure the distance between the ship and the berth, providing real-time data to the display or central System. |
Central monitoring software
Berthing aid system monitoring software. It is a crucial tool for operators to monitor and analyze data from sensors such as laser sensors. With real-time information and historical data analysis, operators can make informed decisions and continuously improve berthing operations. |
